Q&A: I want to become a pharmacist, can I achieve this by going through college or must it be University? Courses?
Question by felasioo: I want to become a pharmacist, can I achieve this by going through college or must it be University? Courses? Right now I am taking chemistry which im not that bad, Math which im really good at, Biology, and physics which I love most but im terrible at it. Is pharmacy right for me. Im guessing these are the right courses that will lead me into a pharmacy career or maybe pharmacology or toxicology? Do I really need a social science such as anthropology,or psychology because I don’t have one, So am I too late? What kind of math is required to become a pharmacist, should I be taking data managment, calculus and such or college math is fine? I will also be taking Pre-Calc After im through high school, what should I be looking into College or University.
How is a pharmacy technician like?
Answer by Nika S
Look at the Pharmacy program that you would like to attend. They will have a list of prerequistes for you to get in the program. Then tailor your current program to that.
Pharmacy is right for you if you love it. Work as a pharmacy technician for a whlie and observe the pharmacists. Walgreens usually hires people off the street for techs.
