What kind of college do i need to go after finishing high school 11th grade?

Question by bootuman: What kind of college do i need to go after finishing high school 11th grade?
Hi, currently am about to finish high school and am doing the CXC exam also known as Csec. I want to study to become a pharmacist. Am lost and don't know where about to find a college. First question is do i need 12 th grade????( Some people said it is not necessary which is good since am 18 years old) Secondly do i go directly into a pharmacy school or do i need to take certain college first if it is then what courses do i need to take?

BTW here's the list of exam i'll be doing on the CXC:
math general proficiency
English general proficiency
Literature general proficiency
social studies general proficiency
Chemistry general proficiency
Biology general proficiency
Physics general proficiency
Information technology Technical proficiency

and a dutch Cambridge exam

Go to your high school guidance counselor. He/she should have all of your answers and get you on the right track/ Good luck

    I would agree with the first answer of talking to a guidance counselor. I’m not sure if you will have to have a high school diploma if the tests you are taking is the equivalent of it. Also you might want to check around at some local community colleges and take some core classes (math, science, english, history, foreign language) that will transfer to a major university. You will need to declare a pre med or a pre pharmacy major at a four year university after completion of community college. (Community college is optional. You can get everything at a four year school and not have to transfer.) After you graduate with a degree in pre med or pre pharmacy you will apply to a pharmacy school. This is where you will receive your formal training as a pharmacist. Total time in college will be around 6-8 years. Good luck and I hope this helped.
